Frederick was known as one of the best special teams players in the nation as kick-returner. He had an injury-plagued season as Senior in 2004, playing in only five games. In 2003, Frederick had one of the greatest games every by a Husky when he totaled 371 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns against Oregon State, breaking a 53-year old record total yards Husky record. Frederick was one of the most exciting and electric players to watch during the dark days of Husky football under the regime of Keith Gilbertson.

Frederick walked on the Husky basketball team his freshman year, he played in six games and averaged .3ppg. In 2007, Frederick was named AFL Rookie of the Year while playing for the Kansas City Brigade. Frederick is currently on the roster for the Jacksonville Sharks, an AFL team who is currently in its inaugural season. Frederick is known for his long hair, and apparently has still yet to cut it since he left the Huskies in 2004.
